Stochastics
Introduction to Stochastics (Probability theory and mathematical statistics), Modelling and description of random effects, statistics.
- Motivation for an e-examination:
- Implementing an exam with R allows for practically relevant exam tasks. Even simple modelling and simulation task, but also statistical analyses require the processing of large data sets which is only possible by means of a computer.
- Type:
- Hybrid exam without automated correction
- E-proportion:
- 32,5%
- Software:
- R with development environment RStudio, internal Firefox-Browser of the Safe Exam Browsers to display a formulary as .pdf, secured by Safe Exam Browser
- Preparation:
- exercises and projects using R during the lecture period

Feedback of participants
- Projects and computer assisted [assessment] was nice and felt more "real". Later on you will most likely have a computer on your side to aid you.
- [...] I liked the inclusion of usually longer calculations via the laptops.
- Good that we don't have to write R-scripts on paper
