There is a variety of properties one can study for graphs, and this week we will focus on two of them. First, we study the infimum of the spectrum of graph Laplacians via existence of positive supersolutions. This provides another approach to the infimum of the spectrum. Second, we look at recurrence and transience, which are properties motivated from the theory of stochastic processes. However, we study them from our analytic point of view on graphs. In passing, we get in touch with the Green function associated to a graph.
We kindly ask the team of Hagen to provide solutions to the exercises for this lecture.
With the best regards,
your virtual lecturers.
