The second half of this year's internet seminar starts off with a closer look at material law operators. We provide an alternative proof for causality of $M(\partial_{t,\nu})$ with the help of the Theorem of Paley–Wiener.

In the discussion board, there arose the question whether we could allow for material laws that are holomorphic only on strips and not on the whole of a right-half plane. This lecture will also address this point. Indeed, we will show that if an operator is autonomous and causal it is induced by a material law.

This week's exercises will also focus on the Theorem of Paley–Wiener and related results. We particularly ask the team from Marrakesh to provide solutions to the exercises for us to upload.
