Dear Participants of ISem 23,

We have just uploaded the second lecture, which you can find at the following link

The second lecture will focus on some functional analytic preliminaries that are needed in the following. The central notion will be the one of `unbounded operators' and particular attention will be devoted to the adjoint of a relation and an unbounded operator.

The description of range and kernel by means of operators and their adjoints is the core of the solution theory, which will unfold later.

We encourage the participants to contribute to the forum.

We have received solutions from the teams of Rennes and Houston to the exercises in Lecture 1, which we greatly appreciate. We have uploaded them to the forum. For Lecture 2, we welcome contributions to the exercises by any team. We particularly ask the team from Salerno to take note of the exercises and to provide `official' solutions for us to upload.
